We're really excited to be releasing GLU to designers!
We have a strong creative focus ourselves and working with designers we've always wanted to find a way in which we could empower them with some of the cooler things that are possible at a development level.
On one hand, given complete control you're working in code and doing the developer's job! too little and your limited to frustrating component skins, variables and referencing.
We're hoping to position GLU in a 'happy' space somewhere in between.
Imagine being able to more quickly realise your creative ideas, have greater functional control over them, get input from and/or distribute them back to a community, and allow your clients to self-manage them through an online management system.
GLU's not going to be the silver bullet and solve everything, not right away anyway! but more importantly, we're prepared to listen, be flexible, and willing to develop GLU, in line with our Vision, to where it needs to be.
With GLU we hope to grow and nuture communities of social web users, other designers, developers, content providers and commercial interests.
Our intention with these, for you as a designer, is to provide further support, increased creativity, collaboration, recognition and audience engagement, and further down the track, commercial opportunities.
