TUTORIAL: RMMS Overview
Version 1.0
The GLU Rich Media Management System ("RMMS") Overview tutorial provides a high-level walk-through of the management system, it's interface and information architecture, navigation systems, and general processes.
Step 1: Login Screen

The login screen requires you to enter your Email Address and Password to access the Rich Media Management System. Standard Remember Me and Forgotten Password functionality is available.
Step 2: Welcome Screen

The Welcome Screen provides a high-level overview of the GLU RMMS. Note that many of the sections are not available at this time but are listed to provide a better understanding of the platform.
Step 3: Global Navigation

The Global Navigation resides in the header and is structured according to audience type. Currently only Developers, My Account and Logout sections are accessible at this time.
Step 4: Main Menu

The Main Menu is located under the Global Navigation and is populated based on the currently selected section. The Main Menu also serves as the root item of a dynamic breadcrumb navigation system.
Step 5: Management Screen

From the Welcome Screen, select Management from the Main Menu to be taken to GLU's RMMS core, the Developers section. Here you will be presented with a My Projects tree menu on the LHS and a content area on the RHS.
Step 6: My Projects

Clicking on the My Projects icon in the LHS menu will populate the content area, or Data Grid, on the RHS of the screen. Data Grids are populated based on selection of an item.
Step 7: Action Buttons

In addition to the Global, Main Menu & Breadcrumb navigation systems, a third, 'Action' based navigation is located at the base of each content panel providing key functional controls.
Step 8: Edit Project

Select a Project Folder, then click the Edit button at the bottom of the LHS tree menu panel. This will open a panel over the RMMS in which the selected Project details can be modified.
Step 9: Folders

Under My Projects folders can be created to organise Projects and Components therein. Clicking on a folder or component icon will display either that folder's contents or the component's properties in the RHS panel.
Step 10: Components

Clicking on a component icon in the LHS menu will display its properties in the RHS panel. To modify these properties first select Edit from the Action panel at the base of the RHS panel.
Step 11: Add Component

Adding one of GLU's core components to the selected folder can be done by simply clicking on the Component Type pulldown menu and making a selection. Currently there are ten (10) core components available.
Step 12: Save Component

The last step in the RMMS Overview is to Save the component selected. You will notice a GUID is automatically generated. The GLU GUID is at the heart of GLU's Flexible Development Framework and a key concept in further tutorials.
